From Draenor With Love has more characters than just Vid & Rades, but they are the main ones, and for now the only ones detailed here. As more characters are introduced, they’ll be added to this page!

Vidyala

Vidyala is a draenei wholly devoted to two things: helping her fellow citizens of Azeroth using the holy Light, and the pursuit of useful technology resulting in explosions. She sees no conflict here. Vid has enjoyed a career of military campaigns and earned a name for herself as an ambassador between diverse races. Her Common is excellent and she is at least partially fluent in Dwarven, Gnomish, and Orcish as well as a bit of Darnassian. As a result of her affable nature and interest in other languages and cultures, she was often given the “interesting” assignments that seemed doomed to failure (but she managed to make them work).

She met Rades in Dalaran during the fight against the Scourge, and their friendship has continued past that time, built on a mutual interest in how things tick and general mayhem.

Likes: Dwarven ale, travel, new languages, her goggles, and the smell of motor oil
Dislikes: Being mistaken for an Eredar, Cleaning her armour, inventions that don’t work, petty bickering

Rades

Rades grew up on Azeroth after the wars, and is a firm believer in Thrall’s new vision for the Horde. A hunter by trade, he is perfectly at home on the battlefield, but prefers to spend his free time exploring Azeroth’s countless forgotten mysteries or tinkering with fascinating new mechanical contraptions. He takes great pride at always having some bizarre invention, device or bomb on-hand to deal with unexpected obstacles, and is a passionate believer that the best solutions are often found by thinking laterally, outside conventional logic. He adores his animal companions and views them more as friends than pets.

A fan of challenging his own limitations, his sometimes overestimates his capabilities, which can lead to some troubling situations.

Likes: His beast companions, goggles, exploring ancient ruins and temples, freedom
Dislikes: The Scourge, being judged for things he had nothing to do with, limitations
